Clever Gardening Technique

Remove Cactus Thorns with Rubber Cement
To remove small cactus thorns from fingertips, use rubber cement. Thorns from the opuntia plant are almost invisible and extremely painful. A thin coating of rubber cement, when allowed to dry, will pull out the offending thorns with a minimum of fuss. To prevent getting thorns in the first place, wear gloves, or handle small plants with collars made of rolled newspaper.
