Building a Rain Garden
The Blue Thumb Guide to Rain Gardens by Rusty Schmidt and David Dods Dan Shaw (2007) is an approachable reference for building a rain garden in the upper Midwest. It will appeal to beginners with its straightforward information and descriptions, but also has enough detail to satisfy professional designers with instructions on building rain gardens for their clients. Best of all, it includes several examples of rain garden plans.
