Clever Gardening Technique

Put Plants On Hold
You may have some plants that you purchased but haven't gotten around to planting yet. Perhaps you run across a plant sale that you can't pass up. This summer heat makes this a challenging time for establishing new plants. If you have some plants that didn't get planted this spring, put them on hold. Move them into a larger container so they can keep growing. Place them in a spot with a little shade during the hot mid to late part of the day. Take some time to prepare the soil well by adding organic matter. When fall arrives it you can plant them with less stress and they will be larger and more likely to survive and thrive!
