Late Blight Resistant Tomatoes
If late blight has devastated your tomato patch in past seasons, you'll be happy to learn that breeders have developed some new varieties that show resistance to this scourge. 'Defiant PHR' is a determinate variety that produces mid-sized, 6-8 ounce slicers with good flavor and texture. It shows a high degree of resistance to late blight, as well as moderate resistance to early blight. 'Jasper' is an indeterminate red cherry tomato with a sweet, rich flavor and intermediate resistance to late blight, along with a number of other tomato diseases.
