The Million Pollinator Garden Challenge (MPGC) is a nationwide call to action to preserve and create gardens and landscapes that help revive the health of bees, butterflies, birds, bats and other pollinators across America. We will move millions of individuals, kids and families outdoors and make a connection between pollinators and the healthy food people eat.
The National Gardening Association is a proud member of the National Pollinator Garden Network and are urging all of our members to join this critical movement. When you support pollinating animal species by planting habitat, you are making a vital contribution to both our environment and food supply. Pollinator Week 2016 will be celebrated June 20-26, with events all across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
We invite you to join us and be a part of the festivities by creating your own event. It is easy – everything you need is linked from this page.
Your contribution can be as simple as a pollinator window box or as involved as a full-scale pollinator garden. Whatever your preference, this year is a great time to plant, register your pollinator plot, and spread the word about the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge that is being issued by over 40 conservation, gardening and educational organizations. As a member of the NGA, you are already a conservation hero. Now you can make a real difference in your own ecosystem – join the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge, and make your garden and your actions count this Pollinator Week. Thank you for joining with all the members of the NGA in this critical conservation challenge!
