Some of these I have had for many years; and they are getting to be somewhat 'antique' or 'historic'. But I am determined to keep some as long as I can. So many historic irises are almost impossible to find at the present time. So I am learning to live with these and preserve them as long as possible.
Vanity 1974-75 Ben Hager My all time favorite pink TB
Vanity's Child, Ted Olson, 1983-84, A very nice 'child'.
Heartbreaker, David Hall, 1964, I keep it because it's a nostalgia thing,
and its nice in its own historic way. Blooms & survives faithfully!
Presence, Joe Gatty, 1986-87, A tough & beautiful iris; pink coloring
has some mauve shading in the standards. Very desireable iris! I
used this as a pod parent years ago and got some beautiful seedlings.
Londonderry, IB, Keppel, 1996, This is a keeper; it puts on a
nice show in early May. Not quite as old as the others, but worth
preserving!
