A tribute thread to the Neoregelia's flower.
Neoregelia's are mostly known and grown for the colorful painted leaves. The flower is often described as inconspicuous. The small 3 petal flowers generally are around 3/4 wide found in the cup of the Neoregelia. The flower color in general is in shades of purple and white.

The flowers on the larger growing Neoregelia's seem to dance on the water held in the bract.

I don't miss seeing the little flowers...here's some more Neoregelia flowers, the first is a Carcharodon with white flowers.

Thanks for the Acorn tip's y'all. Lovey dubby

I know that the blooms are inconspicuous compared to the gorgeous leaf shades but to me they are just a little "icing on the cake"!

Icing on the cake
I always think of the flowers like the cherry sitting on top of a delicious hot fudge Sunday.
