Hello,

We threw different seeds we had in a small sleeve in our garden thinking they were too old but that guy started to grow and we put it in a pot. So now we feel stupid as we have no clue what it can be. It's growing fast but it does not look like anything we have in our garden.
Anybody has an idea? We actually think it can be finger lime but the leafs are quite large.
Thanks!

Welcome!

It does look like a citrus tree. Does is smell like a citrus tree? It doesn't look like a finger lime, although that would be cool. Did you toss any lemon seeds out there?

The leaves don't look like Australian Finger Lime (Citrus australasica) to me either but I don't know what it might be. I'm curious as to the blue coloration on the leaves, or is that something to do with the camera lighting?

I assumed it was blue/red LED lights.

I can see some small thorns in the photos, so agree it's some type of citrus.

Yes the blue color is because of LEDs. I remember we put a few finger lime seeds (USA) in that sleeve which was like 5 years ago? I don't think we put regular lemon seeds though Thinking

Those double spikes at the base of each leaf is funny and there each of them has a drop of liquid that looks like a tiny pearl Smiling .

I can take more picture if you think a detail is missing.

LOL, I never thought of LED lights ... makes the foliage look quite pretty. Smiling It does look like some type of Cirtus, possibly a different type of lime other than the finger lime? Shrug! Here are a few images from our database of other varieties of Lime and a Lemon:

Hopefully, there are some white lights in there. The sun is not purple - those other colors are important. Smiling

Yes 300w light with warm colours and the blue one is a blue/purple led light (50w only I think).
I added a bit of fertilizer for citrus and looks like that little guy likes it 😍

Yes the double leaf discards the yuzu option.
Maybe it's just s simple Meyer lemon tree after all?

There might be a twist... Could it be a variety of passion fruit tree?

It doesn't look like a seedling Citrus to me. Vein pattern isn't right, and seedlings are very thorny.
Don't know what it is.

I'm no expert but now I feel confident this is what a juvenile passion fruit vine looks like. What do you think?

I thought the same before but then I read that their leaves are very different when juvenile and when they are mature enough.
Look at that photo (can't upload the video as I am new):

It looks like the same plants with small thorns at the base of each leaf.
