Lovely flowers, they look like they're doing well. I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question, their colors seem obvious. Are you looking for the name of the hybrid rather than the color?
Welcome!

Yes that is what I meant I was in hopes to find out the names of the colors like for instance I just ordered (Cajun Spices & Champagne Elegance) and a few others but I don't know the names of the ones we have posted here today. I hope that helps with what I'm asking and thank you for the reply.😊

I think that there are a great many different iris hybrids. They come and go in popularity, and a lot of the colors are very similar. Once you lose track of their names, it's hard to be really sure.
To me, the important thing is to have flowers I like that do well in my yard. The best ones have come from rhizomes I picked up from local gardeners. They're well adapted to local conditions, but I don't know their names.
Maybe some others can help identify what you have, and keep searching the commercial iris sellers--you might find a match.

Thank you. It is getting close to the time for us to thin them out a bit and so I was in hopes to find out the variety so that I could tell people what they are when giving them to people.

I've seen them with a thumbnail size picture attached, if you have a color printer and need a project!

Yes, just staple a photo to the leaf fan or, if there's two many to print individual photos, put a photo on a stick in a box with all that color. I have gotten a lot of iris that way.

Those are pretty colors.

Well I suppose I'll have to continue to search online to find some names for these and hope I get it right. If all else fails I could just say they are yellow or purple but I was in hopes to not have to do that.
Thanks for the tips and complements on them.

I really want to discourage you from taking a guess - no name is better than the wrong name.

Unfortunately as there are so many cultivars, it is impossible to be certain of an identification unless it's (1) a very unusual cultivar or (2) you have obtained a named rhizome of it and grown it for comparison.

Thank you for the suggestion and I might just try that in the future so that I can compare. I have since been logging all of the ones I have purchased and planted so I can keep up on them.

There are many irises with similar colors, with slight differences. The idea of photos on a 'bin' or attached to the plant is a great one., People can see if they like it. At our iris club sale where the plant is known, our club still uses photos so people can see what they would like.

Welcome! Crystal! What a nice mix of colors you got from the garage sale! As MsDoe noted, that is a great way to get iris that will do well for you. Smiling

I second the idea of not just guessing on a name. All of yours look very similar to many, many other cultivars, and too often misidentified iris get passed around. I print pictures and put them on the box for each iris--whether I have a known name or just a NOID (no identification).

Sometimes I will include a brief "name" like: "My mom's blue NOID" (which my mom used to grow). Or "My garage purple dwarf NOID" (which was growing by the garage when I bought my house). But even that could lead some people to think that is the name of the cultivar I suppose. I try to make it clear that the name is not known. Note that some irises are just seedlings that never were introduced.

Approx height and color is helpful. I also print copies of a brief "how to plant and care for iris" for folks to pick up.

Smiling
