Here is my main pepper bed. Each plastic cup has a pepper and cups are to stop cutworms.

I still need to mulch but at least they are planted.

So here is my other pepper bed.

This one has some of those heatless hot peppers like Habanera and Aji Delight. Also Trinidad perfume which looks like a hot pepper but hope its not hot.

I don't seem able to resist anything. For some reason I started looking at pepper selections and I came across this one-

All America Selection called Mad Hatter. The shape just gets me and I like the description which said very prolific.

Oh I remember that! I saw it growing last year at the Backyard Farmer Garden on East Campus in Lincoln NE. Didn't get to taste one though.

It was still a bit early in the season, the peppers hadn't colored up yet.

I looked-Rita, how can you resist? Imagine that filled with chicken salad, or cottage cheese. Or baked beans.

Oh no, I have plenty of peppers for this season and they are already planted. I would order these with my seeds for next season.

I also found Mad Hatter at Seeds N Such. Liked their write up about them.

https://www.seedsnsuch.com/pro...

Seeds N Such has some other things I want for next season so probably this fall I will orders from them.

Red Belt is a lamuyo type bell pepper. They are a long type (lamuyo) which are more popular in in Europe. They get a bout 5 inches long x 3.5 inches wide. If you want red let it ripen on the plant. Just think of it as a skinny bell or a fat dark green cubanelle. Other varieties include Lido, Macarena, Magali-R , Jackpot, Reina, Gemini...

It just sounded awefully good to me. Of course I am not gonna order for this year but for next year I am certain I will get seeds of both these peppers I have mentioned.

I am growing Midas first time this year which they say is that lamuyo type. It turns yellow. We will see what I think of it.
