Timothy ~ You must be right, as I have been viewing so many for a while now, and finally got many of the ones that I wanted.

And just think, I only started a couple of years ago! It's too bad that I am so old! But I will do my best as long as I can! It just seems a bit late to start collecting and breeding irises, so I am attempting to keep it small. That in itself is a challenge.

You never know! It's tough to cut back on buying but if I want to move forward with my hybridizing goals I need to wait and see what I have. Keith actually recommended that to me.

TB 'Starting Fresh' blooming for me in May of 2022. It bloomed for a week and a half with nine buds.

I absolutely agree. Otherwise you will have so many that you may never even use. And you will want to grow yours out and if they are good, you will probably use them for crossing, too! When these bloom, that you have crossed, you can get an idea of what you are looking for. I can hardly wait to see them all!

I would take centuries to fully explore all the crossing options with 1200 varieties on hand -- lol
