Has anyone found any successful deterrents at keeping Gila Monsters from eating your plants? I live in Las Vegas and its a problem here.

Are you sure it's a Gila monster eating your plants? I'm not familiar with the animal, but the wikipedia article gives animals, insects and carrion as their diet.

It could be that something else is eating the plants but the Gila is getting blamed for it.

I have a problem with mice eating my seedlings here. And in Oregon, we were blaming the deer, but it turned out to be a wood rat!
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
