Can't wait for the new website to upload. I am hoping that Solaris Farms will have some Paeonia mairei 'Sol' for sale tomorrow.

Has there been any announcement of opening time? I saw a post from Harvey from Hidden Springs saying just after midnight for them but nothing from Nate yet as far as I know....

And YES! I'm anxiously waiting for Solaris to open! Just looked at the website and can't open last year's selections now so progress, I guess! Says morning 1 Jan—what does that mean, though? I didn't shop opening day last year, think Craig said it opened around 10 am or so, the 2 years before it was midnight.

I think Nate does not announce the time on purpose. Do you remember how the site was overloaded and it was almost impossible to get through pages once the site was opened 2 years ago? Last year Nate did not specify the time and I was late, some peonies were sold out! I was glad to see that I did not miss anything I really wanted to order. I am waiting for Solara to be offered again, I hope the price will go down with time.

I will be online checking the website. He always has such a great selection, but you have to be quick to order. I think it was Liz who had something in her cart one year, and when she went to checkout it was sold out.
Best of luck to everyone!!

Yes, that happened to me with Scrumdidlyumptious 2 years ago. I got there a few days after they opened last year and ended up with just a few things that I wanted....

Solaris website is up! But it does not offer neither Greenland nor P. Marei Sol this year. Sad

No, I did not get any this year. I think I will skip this year. Though they certainly do have some very nice ones at very high prices!

I got Fuchsia Ruffles fall 2017, it grew really well this spring but I don't think it had any buds. Wasn't it so pretty before the HSFH? I'll add hail protection over this and several other tree peonies I purchased in 2017 since they're not in the newest beds that can be covered completely. I had to add tomato cages/peony rings around all of them because the turkeys were scratching around the bottoms looking for insects and broke pieces off!!!! I've never shot an animal in my life but I would've the day I saw the damage they did.....

Charon is a GORGEOUS color, LG! Can't wait to see pics of that one in bloom!

Liz, Fuschia Ruffles has very lovely foliage! Did you also get Wisteria Reflections a few years ago? Would love to see a comparison of both blooms. So sorry about the hail damage but I think you will have excellent turnout this spring as Mother Nature had essentially debudded most of your peonies last spring and directed all the plants' energy into better root growths. I am looking forward to your bloom season, Liz as I totally believe that yours will be spectacular this year!

After much thinking, I will pass on getting any from Solaris Farms this year. I reallyt need to work on converting more of my lawn into good bedding space for future additions. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I have a list of 11 plants that I want from Solaris, but I've practiced self restraint.

I have 20 tree peonies in pots that will need to be planted when I move, not to mention all the herbaceous and Itoh Peonies as well.

I'm going to live vicariously through those of you who have ordered plants, and I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures!

I got several trees from Solaris 2017, Antigone, Coral Nebula, Door County Sunset, Fuchsia Ruffles, Gandymede, Irene Sandler, Peach Festival, Ruffled Pink Petticoat, Tessera and Wisteria Reflections, also herbaceous Callisto. I had buds on several of them, think only 1 bloomed. I'll look at pics from this spring and see if there are any worth sharing.

I ended up with three trees: Gemini, Millennium Gold and Manon. I have a particular interest in the hybrids of Bernard Chow and wish to concentrate next on his hybrids. I had to restrain myself from spending too much money this time around. 🤑💰

Chow does have some really nice ones.

To be honest, I got going on a project yesterday morning and forgot about "opening day" until late afternoon. Honestly don't know where to put anything right now anyway. Usually buy a couple anyway, but not yet.

Liz, you must be planting all your new ones on your new property at this point. Tree peonies are such a chore to dig up.

Congrats to those who ordered and got what they were after. Nate has many beautiful offerings. I'll be checking out the others as well.
