Nice seedlings, Brad!
Your photos inspire me to try hybridization myself. Smiling
My choice from the last post-16-26D-color and beard, 16 - 26L-wide shape, very ruffled and lace, 16 - 26P-got an amazing combination. 16-43 is very promising. How many buds did he have? Thumbs up

16 26 E, love this pink blush

16-26 H Probably my favorite from this group. Love the orange blush and the deep orange beard. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

The rims look fragile, like they would easily shred, but the pink color washing up the Standards contrasted with the orange beards is appealing to me.

Brad ~ I will take some more time at looking at the seedlings, but I have to thank you for showing me Star Appeal. I have been looking for a nice pink. Is it a true pink, or does it have a coral or peach cast to it? I am wanting some true clear pinks...

See the difference? Which is the real 'Star Appeal'?

This one is pretty. Not sure it really stands out, but I do like the soft blend, and the pink flush at mid-standard.
C.Thumb of 2019-01-18/ARUBA1334/41b26d

Like the blush of color and the diamond dusting. Love the rounded ruffled form.
F.Thumb of 2019-01-18/ARUBA1334/2d7446

A more pinkish version of F. I love the multi-color beard. I would grow these two.
L.Thumb of 2019-01-18/ARUBA1334/0cbde9

I like the shape on this one. Reminds more of Border Bearded iris and a color you would see on roses. Is the bloom smaller?

16-43 (Star Appeal X Magic Mirror) Love the color but not wowed by the form.

I really liked this one had beautiful form and blend of colors that got better as it aged. These are all the same bloom? I really like it's color stages. Be interesting to see more of this one.

Loved
16-26 A and B
Very interesting about the dominant traits of Good Morning Sunshine. 18-8D would be my favorite from this group, very bright.
16-44B is my favorite too.
16-23A I like the soft blending of the colors.
————————
16-26D Lovey dubby Lovey dubby just my style of iris Smiling
16-26H I like it a lot, makes me smile.
16-26 I Lovey dubby Lovey dubby again, just my style again
16-26 L I like it a lot
16-26 O. Very cute!
16-26 P I would love to see another picture of it. Looks unique.

16-43the Star Appeal x Magic Mirror cross - I liked it.

16-110 A too bad it didn't increase. Sad
16-84A another gorgeous iris
Loving the 16-33 cross, just beautiful!

Serjio.. Thank You and I would encourage you too try it is a lot of fun and you can sometimes find pleasant surprises Smiling
I did not count Buds on it this year it grew fast one seed turned into a small clump and it had quite a few buds but with the heat the flowers popped quickly the only downside was it did not have as modern form as I would like but I kind of figured that working with was curious if I could get something with a good color and this one was pretty maybe form will improve next season once established.

Tom.. Thank You glad you found some you liked Smiling 16-26 was hard to pick from lot's of good ones in the group and most had good stalks and a branch I think my favorite was L it was the total package I tried to use pollen off of a few of them but nothing took maybe in the spring Smiling 16-33 yes that's after open a couple days in the heat it was good had a nice stalk and 7 buds on it Crossing Fingers! it grows well I love the form.(Otherside Of Heaven) is proving to be a good parent for that extreme ruffled form I saw quite a few in Oregon in different colors with that look try using it in the spring.

Debra.. Smiling Love the descriptions ! I kept quite a few of these another year want to see them after settled and still quite a few left to bloom from this cross it's fun when you get a lot of good things to work with.

Jan..Thank You ! looking forward to seeing your seedlings in a few months Smiling

Evelyn.. Your Welcome Smiling trying to show the parents of some of my crosses this year so we get an idea of where there coming from. I think the difference in the pictures is probably the camera or the setting on them Star Appeal is a deep Ovation Pink we have always like it because there are not a lot of others in that color hue and it's a great grower add it to the collection if you don't have it. The other one I would suggest that has more modern form and a deep pink is (Star Turn) it does good here as well.
Thumb of 2019-01-19/ARUBA1334/3ec58d

Rob.. Thank You It works out that way sometimes they bloom and you go D'Oh! beautiful flower but no plant.. I like the pink flush up the standards on H it was saved Smiling

Lucy.. Thank You it was saved too bloomed short just like you like them maybe a BB will see what happens next year.

Leslie.. Good Picks as always Smiling and your right it didn't stand out but I couldn't think of anything else like it either maybe planted beside a red or a really dark Black/purple may make it stand out but I wanted to see it again.
16-43 The Star Appeal seedling I liked everything about it but the form but the parent is almost 20 years old Joe has come a long way with form in that time Smiling I always try to use his newest plants but not many available in 2016 Im hoping the color will pass on to something else with form Smiling

Thumb of 2019-01-19/ARUBA1334/2a0f97 Thumb of 2019-01-19/ARUBA1334/7e5272

Barbara..On Good Morning Sunshine cross the majority of them bloomed in the same color combo it has and there are lots out there in those colors that are much better then what bloomed for me between Thomas and Kieth there is lot's of good material to work with his (Barbara Rider) is gorgeous and Kieth has quite a few there too my favorite probably being (Gambling Man). so I pulled the majority of them.

I had the same reaction on the 16-26 cross flagged a bunch of them all very pretty and slightly different hues of Oranges and Creams I want to seem them after they have sat in a 2 year clump to decide. On P that is the only picture I got of it the season went fast in the heat always wish I would have taken more pictures at home but I was trying to get some Pollen daubing done Smiling

I got too see some of my Blue Projects again this spring have been using Barry Blyth's (Ride The Waves) trying to advance the form in Blues at home these were some of the seedlings from crosses done in 2013 that had it mixed in the pedigree my favorite is 13-64 it opens to a color much like the parent and fades to different shades of Blue and violet pictures show it at different stages and in full sunlight. I love the form of it and it may fall into the BB class so something fun for the front of the garden. Smiling

Lovely ruffled blues! Hurray!

But 13-9 B is my favorite (enlarge it to see the details! Lovey dubby ) I like the form; just enough ruffles, elegant falls and the standards are not too loose or too tight. But most of all, I like the pattern of clean, 'frais' colours, which make the bloom look like it is covered in hoar frost. Lovey dubby
You don't know if it will grow until you try!

I agree with Lilli, 13-9 B is my absolute favorite.
13-64 A has awesome ruffles.
The color of 13-9 C looks like a NO ID that I've been trying to find a name of for years. Your 13-9 C has more ruffles. I look forward to seeing that bloom every year. So for that reason I love 13-9C too.
