Another one of my favorites at home this year was 13-63 it is a (Double Platinum) child and has been wonderful so far very good form and very pretty was worried about buds and branch but this year it had both Smiling along with a very good color impact. I should get to see some of It's kids bloom in the spring.

Rob.. Yes it is the same don't have my files with me here in Maui Smiling I have a couple of these crosses from 2013 where I had multiple pods and they ripened at different times so they got separate numbers so same cross but different pods. It is my favorite of the group shown because of the color impact in the garden big flowers and beards stand out up close and the way it grows it makes instant clumps and I have a lot of that one but failed to get a good picture this year. I left it in a 3 year clump this year in the garden hoping it puts on a show.
13-64.. Has been a favorite from its maiden bloom so glad it survived..

Tom..Yes a branch and buds Smiling especially for its size was happy when it bloomed will be great for the front of the garden.

Lilli.. Thank You for the awesome description I haven't seen much of that one but enjoyed it this year ! It's lined out going o let it set for 2 years and see what it looks like.

Barbara..With C I had something like it in mind when I made the cross was curious if (Friendly Advice) would give me a lines on the falls and was curious if I could keep the color of Ride The Waves and add lines to it there are quite a few in the color range like you mentioned but I'm hoping it will be a good breeder Smiling

Hippy.. Thank You !! Glad you like it

Les.. Im hoping the form changes next year hard to judge in the heat it really made some of them stunted and branch weird this year..13-64A it looks very blue in garden but all my pictures taken in sunlight in that color range show more violet I am thrilled with the form something to work with in that color range.

I am loving the blue beard on 13-9A and love the shade of blue.
13-64A is also a beautiful color and I LOVE blues.
13-63 gets my vote as gorgeous.
12-16 is unusual and striking.
Thanks for sharing all of those beauties!

ARUBA1334 said:I got to see some of my Blue Projects again this spring have been using Barry Blyth's (Ride The Waves) trying to advance the form in Blues at home these were some of the seedlings from crosses done in 2013 that had it mixed in the pedigree my favorite is 13-64 it opens to a color much like the parent and fades to different shades of Blue and violet pictures show it at different stages and in full sunlight. I love the form of it and it may fall into the BB class so something fun for the front of the garden. Smiling

Brad ~ I like 13-9 A and E (Friendly Advice X Ride The Waves) mainly for the improvement of the beard color. Maybe I am color blind, but it looks really blue-violet to me, but it may be bluer in "person".

13-4 (Jealous Guy X Bratsivillian Prince) Are you kidding? An iris that starts out lavender and fades to gold? WOW!! Really nice. If the form is a bit better this year I would consider this a keeper. It is a unique iris. The last picture looks like two different iris blooming close together. Big Grin

Brad: What a feast for the eyes!!!!!!
>16-26E - WOW!!!!!
>My Beloved X Splendid Spring - White. Gorgeous. Please don't throw this in the pile. I know you said you are not impressed but I would pay introduction prices for this. I am obsessed with White Irises with hints of other color and that green flush up the mid-rib and the lavender pink around the shoulders is just STUNNING. If you don 't introduce it, tree-mail me. I will buy it as a NOID.
>16-44D - Really really Lovely!!!
>16-44B - Love it's uniqueness!
>16-24A and your daughter's favorite Red are also very impressive!

I think the people who grow Irises are about as special as the flower itself!

This next batch was a lot of fun and hard to pick which ones to keep as they all had something about them in the garden that I liked 13-49A has been a favorite now 2 years in a row love it's form and how it stands out in the garden. 13-50C is a border bearded and grows like a weed there is another sibling in this color range that is Outstanding also but no bloom this year.

Barbara.. I think it is a winner Smiling it's been really popular at home with visitors.

Jane.. Your Welcome and your right the beard makes it.

Evelyn.. Thank You the color of that one is more violet what makes it jump out are the blue beards my pictures don't show them very well but in the garden they catch your attention.

Tom.. Sad 5 below I don't even want to think about coming back to that we have had such a good winter up to this point. I keep hearing from home I got out just in time as they are getting hammered with snow and negative temps. I think Ill stay in 80 degrees for awhile Hilarious!

Deb.. Good Name Big Grin and I like it a lot hopefully it continues to grow well it is an early bloomer and another good one for the front of the garden.

Elsa.. Thank You glad you like them I did save that one because it really is a good plant and has everything Im looking as for as far as branch/buds/good stem and with the pedigree the next generation may be awesome but the color of the flower is pretty common and I want something unique if I was ever going to name it.. Do you grow My Beloved ? if not put that one on your list it's fantastic.

Lucy.. Thank You it is another one that is on the smaller size probably gonna be 30" but may change a little need to see it a couple more years.

13-49 A is stunning, not a thing I don't like about it, except for one thing, it's not growing in my garden! Sighing! Hilarious!
13-49 F (equally as stunning as A is) and G, E, and H are magnificent too! That was a wonderful cross.
The 12-39 seedling is unique, I love everything about it.
I'm having a hard time picking out a favorite in the 13-50 cross. Ultimately I pick 13-50-F but E is a close runner-up.
Edit to fix the number.
