As @Gina1960 said earlier, put them in soil or sphagnum moss or a mix of both. And it needs very bright light too. Some leaves may yellow and drop off - it is natural. Also having fewest possible puts less stress on the cutting: usually 2-3 leaves are OK. If the leaves are large it is better to cut the big leaves and leave a small portion with green to sustain the plant.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say that what Gina said about rooting in water vs soil is spot on. Water roots are botanically different, an adaptation to deal with extended flooded boggy conditions. Roots need air to function properly and in water there is no oxygen to speak about. So the roots develop this spongy tissue to capture and transport oxygen. They have no anchoring capabilities and are fragile. Roots in soil are much more efficient and are different than water roots. A plant with water roots will have to regrow all the roots to adapt to soil and that is a drain on a already fragile plant. Why go through a two step process when you can just in one proven step?
On the other hand, if you love watching plants grow roots in water there is no better way probably. But that is about the extent of utility of growing cuttings in water.

Hello again, I'm having some more issues with my monstera and I'm trying to figure out whats wrong with it I'm not sure if its suffering from the soil being wet so long or if its been under watered/over watered. Or if it just needs plant food. But one of the lower leaves started turning yellow and then the yellow turned brown. It does have a bit of new growth since last time I posted last. But most of the new growth doesn't seem to be doing well. They aren't turning the dark green color they are supposed to. They almost look wilted in a way.
