Jan ~ Happenstance was one sent to me by Rob. Unfortunately it did not survive. It just shriveled up and went by the wayside. I still have it in a one gallon pot in case it recovers, but it isn't looking likely. Rob ~ You have a nice collection of pinks. "Luck favors the prepared mind." - Thomas Jefferson |

In the Moment is pretty nice. The data base says I have 124 pinks, but many of them are bi-tones, or are only partially pink. I think Evelyn is looking for a self in clear pink. Life is a Gift ! |

Rob already mentioned 'Magical'...![]() and then there is 'Magical Encounter'... ![]() ![]() and also IB 'Magic Bubbles' ![]() I'll also add 'Margaret Inez' since I'm the only one listed in the database as growing her. “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” --John Muir (1838-1914) |

Here are a few of my suggestions for Evelyn :) I've endeavored to stick with cultivars that I've grown with more pure tones/tints of pink because let's face it ..... there are about as many "pink shades" as there are eyes to behold and identify them. Embrace Me -- Van Liere '08 ![]() Innocent Pink -- Black '04 Love Me True -- T. Johnson '08 ![]() June Krausse -- Schreiner '09 ![]() Poodle Parade -- Black '10 Social Blush -- M. Sutton '08 Pink Invasion -- T. Johnson '09 ![]() Guardian Angel -- Keppel '06 Leslie My Love -- Blyth '09 Peggy Sue -- Lauer '06 .......... REBLOOMS!!! ![]() |

I can't help much in the show your pinks as I have very very few. The only two true pinks I had bloom this year were Pinkity and Strawberry Shake. Some of these I have had for many years; and they are getting to be somewhat 'antique' or 'historic'. But I am determined to keep some as long as I can. So many historic irises are almost impossible to find at the present time. So I am learning to live with these and preserve them as long as possible. Vanity 1974-75 Ben Hager My all time favorite pink TB ![]() ![]() ![]() Vanity's Child, Ted Olson, 1983-84, A very nice 'child'. ![]() ![]() Heartbreaker, David Hall, 1964, I keep it because it's a nostalgia thing, and its nice in its own historic way. Blooms & survives faithfully! ![]() ![]() ![]() Presence, Joe Gatty, 1986-87, A tough & beautiful iris; pink coloring has some mauve shading in the standards. Very desireable iris! I used this as a pod parent years ago and got some beautiful seedlings. ![]() Londonderry, IB, Keppel, 1996, This is a keeper; it puts on a nice show in early May. Not quite as old as the others, but worth preserving! ![]() Even a fool, when he shuts his mouth, is counted (as being) wise.Proverbs 17:28 MY BLOG |

Very nice pinks Leon. I used to have Londonderry and I loved it. It does put on a nice show. "The chimera is a one time happenstance event where the plant has a senior moment and forgets what it is doing." - Paul Black |

Picture Book is a good grower here and very pink. I second all the votes for Strawberry Shake, Love this one. Voltaire: "Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities," |
