I took a cutting from my H. imbricate and mounted it on tree fern and put it in my terrarium indoors to see if I can keep it from going dormant in winter the way it usually does. Anyone else growing it? What are your methods?

Finally got around to mounting my Hoya imbricata on a large fencepost mount. Put it out in the heat and humidity of the greenhouse in the FL summer. Hope it grows some new leaves soon! It has 3 new leads, they should make leaves I would hope! Left a big hole in my terrarium though, now I need something new to put in there bwa ha ha ha!

Please update Gina!

Is there a place I can learn about the mount you used or made? I'm also wondering the best way to mount mine! Love yours so far and can't wait to see how it takes off!

I started with mine on a piece of cork bark. It was in the greenhouse all last summer and went from a one leaf cutting to 3 leaves. It made 2 leaves that disappeared before they matured....I suspect email or slug. I moved it into the house to a terrarium for the winter and it kind go stalled. It went from temps of 75 night-90+ day with 75-100% humidity to at best 75% intermittent humidity and temps of 72-75F. It put out runners that never made leaves. I have read a lot about Imbricata...most people who grow it successfully have it in a very continuously hot and humid environment. I have read that it will not survive temps in the 50's. I know that I lost my last one years ago to cold.
