Let's share our photos and discussion for what's happening in Brom World for February. Gina suggested that I go first. Nothing much is happening with my Bromeliads in the way of blooms and I'm not the most attentive caretaker so they look pretty ratty a lot of the time. *Blush* I went out in the pool area and took a couple of photos to share; a flashlight and the camera flash were used. I have more out in the yard but our lot is wooded and we have Coyotes and Bobcats in the neighborhood ... I'm too chicken to venture out there in the dark. Smiling

This basket has 4 plants in it, only one with a label that I could find:

This basket has 3 in it, two with tagged names, one I couldn't find the tag:

They look great Lin!
Here is another hybrid by Skotak. The first time I saw a photo of this one it became a must have for my collection. Still a young pup at this posting.
Neoregelia 'Blazing Fire'...

I am very much looking forward to watching this one mature.

Lin, If it looks as good as the photos I have seen of it you will probably get sick of seeing photos I will be tempted to post. Rolling on the floor laughing

Does anyone have N. 'Martin' pronounced Marteen? I have been doing some cleaning in the garden and this is one that amazes me in how well it holds its color, and it is very prolific and cold hardy. I bought the plant at Lowe's back in Jan. 2017
This is the plant the day I brought it home, it had a wee offset then.
Thumb of 2019-02-06/sunkissed/664420

I planted it in a hanging basket, and today I have to put that basket in a heavy stand alone planter it is so heavy. There is now more than 7 plants, including the original mom I bought.
This is the plant on the ground while I was cleaning out the leaves, you can see my foot for comparison of how big it is now. I still see these at Lowe's today, so if you don't have one, I'd pick one up.

I bought mine at a plant sale, but I've seen them for sale on Tropiflora once in awhile.

Sherri, I have thought of putting 'Martin' in a hanging basket. My plant is still growing in a 6" pot, I had procrastinated with the basket planting and I have noticed the weight of mine and now with your posting 👍 I will go a different direction.

Tropiflora was my source. Wanted two but they only had one.

I used to get the VIP emails from Tropiflora but had difficulty with their website for a long time. Lately, whenever I've tried to access their website, I get a black page that says 404 Page Not Found so either it's something with my laptop or they are still having website issues. Confused

I think it's my laptop ... I have both Firefox and Chrome and mostly use Firefox. I think my version of Firefox is outdated again. I just used Chrome to access the Tropiflora website and it's working fine on Chrome! Hurray!

Neo. 'Blazing Fire' must be out of stock but I'll keep watching in hopes they list it again at some point. I really like the looks of the one named 'Radioactive': https://tropiflora.com/collect..., I might have to consider ordering it. Smiling

Awww Radioactive looks stunning.

I know when Tropiflora did a website update last year sometime, you had to go back and re-submit your account.

I'm really upset about this but found some more damage to an offset on my Orlandiana Black. This is a good six inch offset that was fine last week, see the little hole, now it looks like it is drying up. I have another offset on another Orlandiana that was chewed ups by something and died off. I don't see anything but thinking maybe I should cut that offset off and dissect it and see what, if anything is in it. What do you all think?

Sherri, what a bummer! Thumbs down I'd definitely dissect to see if there's any little critter inside and if you find it ... squash it! Grumbling

Lutheria splendens (f/k/a Vriesea) I was cleaning leaves out this morning and noticed a frog hiding in there ... pretty sure it's a Cuban Tree Frog, that will have to be euthanized:
