I have had a dieffenbachia for 30 or more years, growing in the same pot and with the same old soil, and I can't kill the thing. It's shoved into the farthest corner of the living room against the picture window drapes where it gets no sun at all and it's quite cool all the time. It only gets watered maybe once a month, if I think of it, and it's been whacked down several times over the years because it has a tendency to grow to the ceiling and across the curtain rod. I don't know how the heck it survives. Especially since I am THE BRINGER of DEATH to house plants!

Well Im not giving up on this just going to keep trying different things thanks for the feed back

Keep it in the water! It seems to be working. I am always trying new ways of growing things. Like to experiment.
