Dan and Jackie Bachman, home of the Valley of the Daylilies in Lebanon, OH. In early July, they have an open house of their daylilies where people can view their daylilies and buy daylilies (their own and/or others). Dan digs the fans up while you're there. Sometimes the daylilies are blooming with flowers. I always take a cardboard box and/or plastic grocery bags to haul the fans home (some have a little bit of soil still on the roots even though Dan shakes most of the soil off).

I was last up there in July 2008 (it's an hour each way from my home to theirs) and took some pics of some of his seedlings, since I liked how they looked. Because I've had MS (Multiple Sclerosis), since Dec. 1998, I get hot very easily and July is usually too hot for me to walk the grounds and look at their daylilies.
Here are some pics of the one I made the banner from. Some are of the same shot, only cropped for a zoomed in view. The first pic is the one I made the banner with, but turned it around for the banner. All taken July 10, 2008 around 10 AM.
I'm happy everyone liked my banner.
If you intend to go in July, check their website (shown above) for the current dates and times.
I don't know if Dan ever registered that seedling or if he even still has it or not, but it was one of his seedlings that caught me eye that day.
