One problem Zuzu and I have come across before is someone contacting us begging for trades or cuttings if we have a plant that is particularly rare or unusual, it makes us hesitant to even list things in our inventory if you are going to be constantly barraged for requests.
Dave's Garden was the worst place for that. Some people there haunted PlantFiles. Every time I posted a new image, one particular woman (who wasn't even a subscriber) would send me a list of every plant I had photographed and inform me that she wanted cuttings of each. I explained nicely a few times why I wasn't going to do it, asking her to look up my previous responses to her identical messages, but I ultimately stopped contributing images entirely. It was too much hassle.
It would be nice to have a comment field at the top of our lists, where we could write something like: "This is an inventory list. These plants are not available for sale or trade." Of course, even that might not discourage the people who just want them for free or for postage.

|We do have that feature now, Zuzu. The thread "Plant list comment area." in Site Talk forum|

|Thank you, Dave. I found the instructions in the linked thread and I have added the info box to my list.|
