Welcome John!

Your "wee boat garden" looks so beautiful! Do you live on your boat full time or is it just a pleasure boat? Is it difficult to grow roses in your climate and in your garden? Which DA roses have done well for you? Are they in pots or planted in the ground (what little there is there--looks like it may be both). I see you have a bench there to sit and enjoy your beautiful view.

I am currently enjoying the BBC series, The Indian Doctor which takes place in Wales. What a beautiful country!

Hi".mustbenuts
My wife and I spend the weekends here, if the weather is kind we stay a
Little longer.
The roses seem to like this area, could be to do with the good iron
Content in soil
All of the DA have done well, being a bit pushed for space I to do a little
Judicial pruning and tying to get the garden to flow nicely.
I did have one or two in pots last summer however I decided to plant them in the ground.
Also I chose repeating varieties this makes for a longer flowering season.

The King fisher is a regular visitor to the garden.
The duck in the corner ( hope you can spot her ) is sitting tight on eggs as we speak.
Thank you all for your encouragement

John, your boat garden is a slice of heaven. It is stunningly beautiful. How nice must be to go and sit there. Are the other boats on the water pleasure boats or do people live on them?

Hi mustbnuts
I have the rose growers to thank for the garden "I have gathered a posy of
other men's flowers, and only the string that binds them is by my own hand "
I must confess to an ulterior motive for this garden.
My wife loves to sit and pass the time of day with the other boats tooing and frowing, lots of overseas visitor hire boats on the canal, lovely to see them Welcome!
Whilst I am fly fishing for trout on the nearby River usk.... Whistling
The majority of boats moored here are for weekends and stuff there are
Olso live aboards.
Thank you Carol for your kind comments, I really do enjoy sharing with you
guys it's the essence of gardening don't you think?.

Kind regards
John
Can anyone spot the mouse.....

Are you referring to (what looks like) a topiary bush on your lawn? Gosh, I am nervous to mention it as I don't want this to be a negative reflection on your great pruning skills, just in case it isn't the mouse.
