billyporter said:My Dad passed away Thursday morning. I am fine. I had my time with him since Mom passed and spent most of the day with him the day before he did. He went the way we all hoped he would. Peacefully. No sign of struggle. He was curled up on the couch and when I touched him I felt a slight bit of heat at his hairline.

I've been busy taking care of things and am so thankful the funeral home will deal with SS, death certificates, insurance and a lot of things you need to be done.

I've still had calls to make. His obit will be out Monday. I chose the picture of him when he was on his bike at my house rather than the typical studio portrait.

I thank you all for your thoughts here and on FB.

The three boys will be spending the night, going home Sunday morning. Carly has a dance competition again.

Then it will be a flurry of activity.

Sunny, but a chilly forecast high of only 34 F or 1 C. At least it is slightly above freezing. We were lucky yesterday, and the snow went south and east of us. We just got a very slight trace of snow. We are supposed to get highs of 50 F or 10 C with showers on Thursday and Friday. That should help with melting this snow Crossing Fingers!

Wish I could say the snow went south and east of us, We ended up with about 4" of wet sticky snow. Hard to tell the true amount because it was so wet some melted as the temp went up even though more was still coming down. It did change over to rain for 2 hours late afternoon then went back to snow as the temp dropped. Temps were 33 and 36. Today was cold, partly cloudy and windy. Gusts near 40 mph from the northwest, lucky we never lost power although some areas are still without. Temps were 28 and 36.

I've got my Crossing Fingers! too. The outlook for next week shows us 40's near 50 Wed., Thursday, Friday and Sat.. More cold to go first, teens tonight....

Sunny with a chilly high of only 36 F or 2 C. Chance of rain or possibly snow flurries later in the day. Wintery conditions continue to cling on. Thumbs down
