Group hug Sally, I'm very sorry for your loss but I'm glad your father had a peaceful exit surrounded by family. God keep you during this time. Angel

Watching the weather on the late news last night they announced a freeze warning. Why couldn't they have done this earlier when I could have taken steps to mitigate the damage!? Hopefully not much damage was done, I don't expect much, but I planted some galiardia and catmint this week that I'm moderately concerned about.

73/51 expected for today.

55.33 cloudy today. Tonight we have an 80% chance of rain. Expected accumulation between 1/10" and 1/4". Sinuses are making me googly eyed and sleepy. Glare Hoping to get to our nearby mom and pop feed/nursery store, for some crab grass control and spread it today. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

Is your season earlier than usual there Dana? Last year in Columbus Ohio the date for crab grass preventer was estimated to be later than April 10 (I looked it up out of curiosity because we're far, far from crab grass germination here).

Not to bad today after a cool start. With a low of 18 this morning it seems like it took forever for it to warm up even with full sun. By afternoon the sun did the trick and the temp went up to 50. All the new snow is now gone and maybe the old snow/ice can get back to melting. Chance of flurries tonight as some little system dips down from Canada.
Hope you don't get any snow from that system Valerie. You've got a longer ways to go with snow melt than I do.

Already got some from that system, Char. Not a lot probably about 3/4 inch. As you said, we still have a long way to go to get rid of our existing snow, so we don't need any more!

Overcast with some sunny periods, calm winds, high about 45 F, may get showers tonight and tomorrow, we need it, so dusty and dirty from the gravel on the streets.

Cold this morning, with a projected high of only 32 F or 0 C. At least we didn't get any more snow in the night. I hope you get your showers, Margaret Crossing Fingers! Glad you are feeling better, Ginny!

I am, too, Ginny. We really need some warmer temperatures to get some melting going, but the jet stream is bringing air from the Arctic Thumbs down

76/48 today with showers expected this afternoon as another cold front moves in. I'm sure Char and Val would love to have a "cold " front that only drops the temperatures to 58/34. Whistling

I would love your temps, Will. Your cold front is caused by the dip in the jet stream that is affecting us. It is plunging down from the Arctic.

My goodness it is heavenly here right now! Sun, no wind, 78 f so far. My finger nails are dirty, playing with with the plants. Big Grin

90 f is a piece of cake here. 95 f and up gets a little iffy! Glare

I agree Ginny, another week or 2 and she will be whining until October. Glare
