If you have room for a smaller-flowered yellow, I can't say enough good things about "Schmidt's Smooth Yellow." http://www.helpmefind.com/rose... ![]() ![]() Rarely out of bloom, always disease-free, it makes a lovely mounding plant welcome anywhere in the garden. |

Jeri, that was another one I was looking at (sorry for the bad English). I have no yellow roses in my yard. Don't intend to start any either. All of the yellow and orange colors look so hot here in the summer time and it is hot enough without hot colors! That rose, however, seems pretty special. Wish I did have more space. Mike, I have often contemplated taking the train up and back in the same day to attend the sale/auction. Taking the train would limit how many I purchased so I wouldn't go nuts and get a dozen! |

Well, Jeri, I am going to have to take back what I said in the prior post. I do have a yellow rose--Sequoia Gold! Got it from Ralph Moore's nursery back in the day. Unfortunately, the nursery is now a Walmart. Sigh! It truly is one of the unsung hero's in my yard. It just keeps pumping out the blooms. Great rose. |

I miss Moore's roses. They had the best plants. I bought so many roses from him. I do have 2 of his hybrids in my garden now, Sequoia Gold and Dresden Doll. When we bought this house a couple of years ago, I so hoped that Moore's would still be open but no. I was sad. I do wish I could go to that rose sale, but the trek from Indiana might be a bit much ![]() |

Anne, Burlington's nursery carries a lot of his roses. Burling was his co-worker/assistant for many years. You can get her plant list on HMF under Burlington nursery and look at the plant for sale tab. I have bought several roses from her (she sales bands--own root). Her plants are healthy and wonderful. She may have the Ralph Moore roses you are seeking. Dresden Doll is adorable. Love the moss on the blooms. Right now I am singing the praises of one of Ralph's roses Vineyard Song. It is growing like gangbusters in my garden. So much healthy growth even though I have moved it three times this spring! I am looking forward to seeing it further develop in my yard. It is an amazingly healthy plant. |

Hiya, Mustbnuts I finally heard back from Burlington and I was able to order Apricot Twist, Cinderella and Green Ice. 2 Others that I wanted were still too small to ship. Thank you for the recommendation ![]() ![]() |
