Arlene your blooms are stunning.

Elaine Moonlit Masquerade was one of my favorites at our previous garden. Don't have it here - at least not yet. I'm sure it will soon find a home here. Smiling

I was out early this morning also like Arlene, but the blooms were not opening up very well, So I waited to around one. The light of course is not good at that time of day, and still some of the first blooms refused to fully open. So just consider this a bad hair day picture for a lot of these plants, especially the ones with a first bloom of the season.
Now here is one that opened up just fine early and still looked good a 1:00:

Tim, we have only had 3/4" of rain this month. I held off watering this morning so I could take pictures. I did water in the afternoon. We have watering restrictions year around.

Right now, weather down here is mild and the daylilies are enjoying it Thumbs up Only evergreens grow here because I'm 1000 ft from the beach. So I cull any plants that don't do well and add more that I hope will do better. It looks like a wonderful climate, but they get salt in the air and salt in the water from the well. Lots of wind this year too. This mild weather will break shortly and the daylilies will not be nearly as happy! Nor will I.

Whatever you are doing, it sure worked, Arlene. I hope you continue to have a nice season.

My climate is almost the opposite. I trust dormants and I expect evergreens to suffer. There are exceptions, and I keep trying one or two a year just to try to find more. I think I'll give Orange Spice a chance since it looks so nice in your picture.

I do hope you did not think I was suggested you deliberately altered your photo Arlene. That did not occur to me, but lighting, or camera, sometimes makes those pale yellows appear white. My camera does not capture some colors well. I am wanting a white in that form for my white garden. I have Heavenly Angel Ice and a couple if other spider forms, and Gentle Shepherd, but no round ruffley. Anyway, I do apologize.

@alilyfan--I didn't take offense at all! Not one bit. In fact, Dan Trimmer and I have had this conversation in just the last couple of days. So many of the hybridizes do alter pictures. I worked for Dan taking pictures of his flowers and those pictures went online on his website and in his catalog. We are honest in presenting pictures and colors. He didn't want his customers to be disappointed when their daylilies bloomed.

I think it is critical that pictures here and in the database accurately represent daylilies in their respective gardens. That's what makes this a wonderful resource when contemplating purchases.

My camera is very accurate. Although occasionally I've had to retake pictures (especially purples) to actually capture the real color. If you look at the colors on three of my pictures--Voila Francois, Lillian's Vapor Trail and White Ambrosia. Look at the first picture of Voila. It is an antique white and it was introduced in 2008. There are a couple of whites that are white from that era, not many. Vapor Trail (2011) and White Ambrosia (2017) are more current and much whiter than Voila. I still swoon over Voila, but that's just me. I have had that daylily for years!

I'm not upset at all. I think it was an honest question and I'm trying to give an honest answer.

Then perhaps I do need Voila Francois AND White Ambrosia. VF was what I was planning on getting, and I hear good things about it, except for its height, which would not bother me.
I have come to expect altered photos from hybridizers, unfortunately That is why I depend on this plant database for pictures, I always check here. I just wish more of the daylilies have been on the daylily of the day. I really like having a central place to get honest opinions of a plant.
