It sure did end up looking pretty good, Rita. Your design made it work exceptionally well.

I am anxious to see your veggies when they produce, especially the different varieties
of tomatoes. You have some with which I am not familiar. I grow mostly heirlooms, but
not many different ones. Also the beans and cukes. Like you, I like to experiment with
different varieties.

Here I am trying to decide if I recognize those green tomatoes.
Did you label them, I hope, I hope? LOL

Oh, forgot to add, I picked the first almost ripe one on the 25th.
It has ripened inside the house. Can eat it tomorrow. It's Pruden's
Purple.

Shirlee, if you mean did I label the pictures of the green tomatoes then no. But I do have all my tomato plants labeled so I know which kind is which. I plan to be doing taste tests on the tomatoes when they get ripe. I do have varieties that I have many times before but I also have varieties that are new to me. So we will see.

Debra, thanks! Big Grin I tend to go overboard with my plant crazies and this is definately the year for tomato and veggie crazies around here. nodding

Rita, I love your terraces. They sure do make for great homes for your daylilies. It's all so grand! Thanks for sharing your hard work with us all. Hurray! Drooling

Question? Does your straw compost or do you have to remove it later?

Beautiful Rita, as usual.
Yes, I meant labels to know which is which. Anxious to hear from you
regarding the taste tests too, especially how they perform, and which
are more and less acidic.

Thanks Mona and Margaret. I never remove mulch. It just degrades down and improves the soil as it breaks down. I just put new on top of old.

Shirlee, I don't know how great my taste tests will be as I hardl;y have a refined palete. My conclusions are usually tastes great or not. Also if it is a good producer and not prone to cracking and things like that. But I do know there are different tomato flavors so we will see. Am really looking forward to trying the sungold and the grape tomatoes. I do have a lot of grape tomatoes. Also Viva Italia for a paste type instead of Roma as I have read that it tastes better. And compairing the new beefsteak types to others I have had before. We will see.
