I know what you mean by "crowded". I'm trying to keep a better separation of irises going forward, so I don't have the NORDICA/PEPPERMINT CREAM intermix problem that I'm still suffering through. So while I have several more white irises (white only, this doesn't include the bicolors or the whites with yellow shoulders/hafts/whatever-you-call-them) that I would like to put into my moon garden, there's simply not much more space (if I want other plants to keep year-round interest). Plus I also have a perennial gopher problem in at least part of that garden area; keeping the irises protected in gopher territory is somewhat problematic. Glare

The tulips are now open as well as the daffodils. This warm weather will probably put a stop to the ranunculas. Irises soon to follow.

Haha, thank you...but wait for it...they will all fall down...hopefully the irises will hide (most) of their dying foliage. But not the "surprise tulips" planted in front of them. I will probably dig them out to ripen in pots.

The white ones will stay in there and we will see what happens next year.

Marilyn ~ Unfortunately, Gerberas are annuals for me. If I just had perennials in there, there would be little in bloom. So I supplement with annuals to give it a fuller look...

Marilyn ~ I never had Gerberas like that. I think they were either diseased or had some kind of damage to them. The flowers started to turn brown. I returned them to Home Depot. I should have bought them at my local nursery, as they were quite pot bound as well. Maybe I won't replace them.

Also the white violas earlier on hit a hot spot in the weather, and they never recovered. I think I will take them out as well.

The garden is a dynamic entity, ever changing...
