I found this amazing alien bloody desert pea plant called sturt's desert pea. I am wondering if anyone knows anymore unique desert plants besides mesquites or feather tree fern bushes (Lysiloma watsonii).

There's the prickly pear cactus. The leaves and fruit are edible.
