I bought this plant at a nursery, but it wasn't labeled and the employees didn't know what it was. What kind of plant is this? Thanks!

That looks like Croton (Codiaeum variegatum 'Aureo Maculatum') I've never grown one as an indoor houseplant but they are common landscape shrubs here in Florida. We had a large one in the yard at our old house:
