Became fascinated with semps (+jovis, and orostachys) over the last 15 years or so. Turned this into a little business (CavendishPerennials.com.) Website is still out there, altho' gave up doing mail orders in 2010. Acquired stocks from Mountain Crest, + the predecessor to SMG, but also acquired quantities from 2 visits to the late Ed Skrocki in Ohio.Fascinating character.
Finding lately semps are becoming items for wedding favours - anybody else noticing this?

Jack, nice to meet you. Do you know Jacki from Drought Smart Plants. I love the color photos on your web site.
Yes, they have become big at special events, such as wedding.
What a treat that must have been, meeting Ed Skrocki, I had heard he was quite a character.
Do you ever get down this way (Oregon)? Would love to meet you. Did you know that Kevin Vaughn now lives here in the Willamette Valley, OR?
I used to love going to the old Squaw Mountain Nursery when the previous owner had it. I would take a sack lunch and spend the day. The new owner, Don, is a very nice person also, but we can no longer go to the nursery.

Hello Jack, ! I agree that they have become pretty popular as wedding favors. Actually, I think they're regaining more popularity in general. Do you still have a huge collection of plants?
