Chris: What a wonderful idea ... absolutely gorgeous! I've got to try this project! I can picture maybe three different sizes of plant frames hanging on the side wall of my deck!

I love it too, and the directions were so clear and simple that I might even manage to do it. I'm excited to give it a try anyway. Thank you.

I never thought of doing a small one like this! All the ones I've seen have been very large, but this looks quite do-able! And it turned out so beautifully! Really lovely! Like painting with plants. Smiling

Thank you so much. It really is an easy project that can be done in just a few hours. I'll try to post an updated picture later today - it's really filled in nice now.

For me it's a lot easier to follow instructions if I can see what's going on rather than just read about it. I hope lots of people try it. I'd love to see some photos of living pictures using plants other than sempervivum too.

What a great tutorial! Very nicely done! I would also mention that you can do the same sort of thing using pallets, or in my case, an old shutter. LOVE the vertical gardens!

Don't know how well they do in your area, but there are SO many different colors, you could really do something neat with a bit of forethought!
