JHeirloom Seeds - is your mystery plant in the May 27 post Streptopus amplexifolius? |
JHeirloomSeeds Jun 7, 2019 7:27 AM CST |
You're close! It actually turned out to be Streptopus lanceolatus, (Rosy Twistedstalk or Rose Mandarin). I was just out there again yesterday and it was so beautiful!! ![]() My blog: https://yeflowerlovers.blogspo... I would love and lurk on this thread often. This will be among my most favourite thread on this site ever. Thanks a lot @JHeirloomSeeds This is a road side flower.. I have no idea... any suggestion on ID will be most appreciated Sumatera. Low land. Near low flowing water body. 40 cm tall. Looks like a perrenial. Some has wicked thorn. But I do love it's blue and tough behaviour ![]() |

Another one, same location. A wild hibiscus (?). Flower reminds me of H trionum. Leaves and seed pods similar to H cannabinus, but totally "non friendly". Stem, petioles, and flower calyx, seedpod has tiny but sharp thorns that easily detach, stick to the skin, painfull and irritating. No Idea of the exact species ![]() |
