I was graciously invited to spend some time with Robin Shadlow while visiting Oregon last week. This is a quick tour of some of the iris blooming when I was there.

Let's take a peek, shall we? Thumb of 2019-05-25/Lestv/937ad2

When you first drive up the driveway the first thing you notice is a very large California Lilac in a lovely shade of blue:

You are then warmly greeted by the hostess, Robin, and her family of dogs and cats. They were all as sweet as can be.

The beds are split into commercial beds on one side and the seedlings and iris she is working with on the other. I am going to post them all together. Any mistakes with the seedling numbers are entirely my own.

64-14, it has Class Ring as one of it's parents.

Robin's Eclipse Spell:

It will appear more lavender in sunlight. It was pretty cloudy when I was there.

A couple of my favorite seedlings:

26-14-C This is flagged for further growth. I think it is really lovely. The pink standards are a nice touch instead of the usual white. It has a nice round form and my pictures don't do it justice.

34-14: It has Gypsy Lady as a parent. I love the colors. Still some inconsistencies with the fall pattern but I like both variations shown here.

Thumb of 2019-05-25/Lestv/cac185 So glad I got this one last year.

140-15: Like this one too. Hope Robin keeps it.

Blyth's Unspoken Passion. I like it but it does remind me a lot of Ask A Lady.

Daisy - it is even more stunning on a nice day!

Casey - the 09-81's are siblings from the same cross. One of them, or both will be chosen or discarded. When I get to Keith and MidAmerica pics you will see a progression of sibs and which are chosen.

That lilac is huge! Lovey dubby I know my small one puts out quite the fragrance, I can just imagine how much that one must put out.

There's some nice looking seedlings growing over there. Thumbs up Love the peek shot through the fence! Green Grin!

Robin's doing some interesting hybridizing! Your photos are very fine Leslie. Lovey dubby
