Interesting, Gina. No leaves on the stem make it look like a Zingiber bract.

I have a newish plant of that one but have not potted it up yet this year. May not see flowers until next spring, I guess since I won't be home until June.

Pina Colada is nice, like the pale coloring, minus the bugs of course.

All I know is "Hidden Ginger" the flower comes up and then beautiful leaves. This is the first flower.
