@shawnsteve I learned that gentle hermoine is not very heat resistant. It's pretty but doesn't last long. One of my least fav DA roses. Here is another pic.

And guys thank you again for the compliments 😘

Welcome to the Forum, oliver. I haven't had a chance to grow it yet, though I'd be willing to bet that it'll improve with age. If they're first year, going on second & on own roots, then I'd expect the performance to get even better. Just give it some time, water deeply, as needed & you'll likely think more highly of it, by next autumn. Even grafted roses can take few years to get going. In fact, I had a 'Souvenir de Malmaison' & almost gave up on it. I put it in a pot & about two years after I did that, it was awesome. I'd had it for about five years before that & it wasn't performing well, in the ground.. Then suddenly it grew & blooms quartred up, very nicely.
I'm waiting on some now, from a sale, , at Roses Unlimited, for three Austin's.; 'Eglantyne', 'Heathcliff' & 'The Squire', Can't hardly wait !

Hey, Oliver ! Check it out. My three Austin roses, that arrived, just today. I got in on sale that zuzu told us about. These arrived from Roses Unlimited of S.C., from their "sale" though, shipping is a bit more to out West, your way. This is 'Eglantyne', 'The Squire' & 'Heathcliff', too !
Not bad looking, roses, just to start out with. anew..Don't mind the lawn, as the Vietnam Vet was too busy cranking up tunes, of The Doors, 'Rider''s In The Storm' & Santana's 'Black Magic Woman' then suddenly was too dark & started to rain, before all was mowed,, anyway.. Didn't get planted yet & will wait 'til lawn is cut, first. Not bad, huh? I bet you've probably been busy, trying to get in a summer sale, yourself !

Looking great! I bought bareroot roses from edmunds roses. They arrived this week. I got two DA roses, golden celebration and queen of Sweden, among others. Can't wait to see how they perform!

I think the Queen of Sweden, looks like a real winner ! Good luck with it & keep us updated on progress,as we all will want to know how it performs for you. ( at least, those that love the David Austin's, will, anyway.) I like the old fashioned look, with fragrance & just being more up to date, by comparison. Not that I don't like "antique" varieties too ! They just may be next, when autumn rolls around & start looking around, before it gets too late & suddenly see the dreaded "sold out" , of what I wanted to order.....
