I know a number of you have Flame Amber so perhaps you can help. The rose/copper iris in the landscape photo below bloomed for the first time this year. It was supposed to be Superhero, which it most definitely isn't, therefore I have no idea what it is. I planted it 2 years ago, and that year I must have ordered from 7 different vendors. I have searched the database til my eyes bugged out of my head looking for something that resembles it though I'm perplexed that the database calls Flame Amber "peach" --- I'd say copper. (Perhaps it is more like the color of an actual peach than the color we call "peach".)

Thanks in advance

@LynNY I grow Flame Amber and that does look just like mine. It is short. There were two or three stalks this year so I may be able to send you one to compare for postage. There is still bloom in that area so can't check without endangering some stalks.

Sweet of you to offer but I can't see a bloom surviving a trip to the east coast. Thanks for responding.

@LynNY

I meant a rhizome not a bloom. By the way I am originally from Long Island, first Flushing and then Roosevelt in Nassau County.
