I agree with Moondog. I think that is the richest red I have ever seen from Oklahoma. Porkpal |

I like Twilight Zone, I'm going to add it to my list to order this year. Plus I like Neil Diamond, my mom used to like him when she was alive. I try to grow everything, sometime not successful. |

Thank you everyone! Of the roses pictured, Firefighter, Neil Diamond, Oklahoma, Sheila's Perfume, Beverly, Pope John Paul II and Royal Amethyst are all very fragrant. While I love all the fragrances I think Oklahoma had the best with Neil Diamond not far behind. But I think fragrance can vary, so that could change. I love the blooms of Royal Amethyst, but so far the bush is not worthy of the gorgeous blooms. Of the roses here, Beverly and Poseidon are the most vigorous, Dark Desire which is in its third season is becoming very vigorous and started producing lots of blooms this year. My Firefighter which is in its seventh season has struggled, but is healthy and beginning to produce more blooms. My Twilight Zone has also struggled, but is improving. Here's a few more GRANDE DAME ![]() BEROLINA ![]() GENE BOERNER ![]() AUGUSTE RENOIR ![]() BEWITCHED ![]() SAVANNAH ![]() |

I like Bewitched too. I also like Auguste Renoir. I try to grow everything, sometime not successful. |

Thanks again, Carol and SoCalGardenNut, Bewitched has been a favorite for quite a few years, one I can't seem to be without. I planted Auguste Renoir last year, I'm impressed with it so far. The blooms have a lot of petals and some of them did ball up with the ton of rain we had in May, I don't think they would do that with just normal rainfall. It's one of Meilland's Romantica roses, I'm fond of that series. |

Gorgeous roses, Merlena! Great photos too! |
Thank you so much for this lovely rose parade. You've captured the blooms at their peak. I think that's the best picture I've ever seen of Savannah. |

Merlena - I love Meilland roses!!! They're my favorite hybridizers! ![]() ![]() |

Thanks again Seil, zuzu and Carol! zuzu, thank you for the compliment on my Savannah bloom, I love its fragrance too! Carol, there's quite a few Meilland roses I am very fond of, I think Meilland and Carruth tie for second with me, but Kordes is my favorite, simply because they overall are more vigorous and disease resistant. There are very good roses from all three though, plus so many others. |

I will add Francis Meilland and one type of Kordes to my garden, I think it's Tangerine Skies. But I'll see if I can add more. Too many on my wish list and not enough land is my problem. I try to grow everything, sometime not successful. |
