Beautiful banner Fleur!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I love this banner as well as the blackberry lilies. I also think their seed pods are cool. Nice banner! Thumbs up
Be content moving inch by inch because, by days end, the inches, will add up to feet and yards.

I've known of this plant for years, but never got into the details of its habits and facts. So now it's back to school for a little "refresher". These basic facts are from University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension website. (quoted here) "This plant is not a true lily, but is a member of the iris family (Iridaceae) with the name Belamcanda chinensis. However, recent evidence suggests it is more closely related to Iris, and should actually be placed in the genus Iris."

I thought this bit of information might be useful. For interested readers here is the link to the university website Master Gardener Program.

Thanks Fleur for jogging my memory with this one. I especially like the banner composition with the raindrops. Thumbs up

I love belamcanda, but have never seen a spotted gold one like yours! Really nice.

Sending all of you "a thank you" from all around the globe, and coast to coast, for your comments, thumbs and acorns. How fine it is to be commonly connected through gardening, via the computer. Who would have thought. 🤔
