Hyperion Supreme is the tetraploid conversion of the historic 1929 diploid cultivar Hyperion.

Hyperion is a very near-species level primitive hybrid consisting of mainly three species: thunbergii, citrina, and a presumably lost-to-cultivation species called aurantiaca 'Major'.

Hyperion has fragrant flowers and a strong growth habit and survivability. It flowers for about a month, and does not rebloom.
