No, I am quite a distance 20 or more miles from the nearest. However there were several days of really bad smoke and ash. Just depends on which way the wind is blowing. Got some from the fires which were 40-60 miles away when the winds were blowing hard.

Just hope that this is not a summer of constant fires, it seems to choose the most beautiful of mountain terrain.

Course living in the mountains people have to consider the natural hazards. sort of like Galveston residents do. I lived in Houston for a while and know the extremes you guys have or should I say "Y'all have" Hilarious!

Every place has it's pros and it's cons, eh?

Absolutely! I'm from the midwest, and I don't miss the nights of huddling in the basement during tornado warnings. At least with hurricanes we have several days' warning. Smiling

I'm glad the fires aren't too close to you!
