So this is the rose I got this spring labeled as Waiheke. It isn't. Waiheke is more of a pink rose and this one is very orange. It's been blooming right along all summer and hasn't had any disease problems. It does have a sweet scent. I appreciate any suggestions you can make on what it might be. I got it at Costco.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking! |

I'd believe that. I admire its ruffled petals and bright center once fully opened! Porkpal |

The first bloom looks like Fragrant Cloud to me. ![]() |

That looks like a good possibility, zuzu. Carol, not FC. I had that one and the bloom form was very different. |

Yeah, I wasn't very confident of my guess either. ![]() |

Hey Seil!! I see you posted that on the Facebook Rose Chat! I didn't know that was you!! LOL Some people over there think it's IMPATIENT. But I don't think so. If your photos are accurate, and I know they usually are, it looks like it has a two-toned effect like FRAGRANT CLOUD. But IMPATIENT does not! So I dunno what it is?? Like I said over there, it would likely be something that Certified Roses carries, as they are the supplier of WAIHEKE. |

Yes, that's me, lol! Facebook doesn't let you use screen names or nick names. It's not Fragrant Cloud. I had that one and this one is very different in many ways. I guess the pics do look two tone but the rose is not really. It's just plain old orange! I looked at the Certifies catalog you posted but didn't see anything similar. Impatient seems to be the one with the most votes and it does resemble my rose so I guess for now I'll go with that. |

Seil ... I've been thinking it might be 'Trumpeter'. I have a red-orange floribunda that I have been trying to ID for years, but I can't get a good photo of the blooms because the light is always wrong and I end up with an red-orange blob. I've checked the photos both here and on HMF, and I can't really find a fully open photo showing the boss of stamens that I see in your photo, so I am not certain about my guess for an ID for your rose. I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer. |

A possibility, Lyn, but Trumpeter doesn't seem to open out flat like mine does. |
