I don't know if this might be fern leaf Cosmos or something else. No blooms so far even though this has been growing in my garden bed since February. I actually kind of like it because it's fernlike leaves are so soft and light. Almost like a feather. It is about 3 1/2 ft. tall right now. Is growing in full sun in the heat of Florida without wilting. Not sure if it is a weed or something much nicer. I have actually thought about digging it up and planting it in a medium to large sized pot because as you can see in the photo, it grows into a small bushy form. I know that it is NOT a dill plant, because I grow that too.

Please help me ID this interesting plant. Below is a photo:

It makes me think of dog fennel..?

It is popular as bordel plant in my area. Respon well to prunning.
Could it be it?

I'm thinking dog fennel, but as a weed. But if you like it, it is not a weed.
i'm pretty OK today, how are you? ;^)

My first thought was either Dog Fennel (Eupatorium capillifolium) which I think is common in Florida.

Another similar possibility is Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) but I lean towards Eupatorium.

Lin - Thank you for those links. I actually like this "weed" and am seriously thinking of transplanting it into a pot to continue to grow. It really has a wonderfully soft and very light texture. Thumbs up

Btw - mine might be Elegant Feather. But regardless, it may serve as an ornamental container plant in my yard. Grin
