I put up the Royal Jasminum photo with good intentions. I since came upon a discrepancy with the Jasminum Rex and the photo I put up as a Royal. I purchased the plant from Logees and it was tagged Royal Jasmine (Jasminum nitidum)...
The Star Jasmine (Muitifloprum) and the Jasminum Nitidum have almost idential blooms.
The Royal (Rex) bloom is very different. Therefore, I do not want to be responsible for any errors on this database. I suggest we remove the photo I posted under Royal Jasmine in the Database and I have removed it from List.
If anyone has any suggestions how we can better describe or clarify these different species I would be very happy to hear it. There are so many and it can be very confusing to new people who are just beginning to grow these tropicals.

Hi Jacquie, you can propose the deletion of the incorrect photo yourself, very easy. Thumbs up
Find the photo from your list of contributions on your profile page, enlarge the photo and then scroll down and click on the "Propose this image be deleted". There it will ask for a brief description as to why you are proposing the deletion. A simple, "wrong image' will suffice and then click "Submit the Proposal" button.

Thank you Sue. I will do that.

It still amazes me that Logee's is calling this Jasmine Nitidum (the one I put up) Royal.....when it is not. Maybe I will tell them one of these days. Of course I have had it for years....takes me awhile to figure things out doesn't it? Is that what you call stupid or just old age. Since I am going to be 84 soon. :grumbling : I just want the information people get on this site to be accurate.

We all make mistakes but when they reflect on others, I prefer not to be a part of it.

Thank you again and have a good day.
