|Sometimes one thinks; 'There is no photo worth taking here." Somewhere one misses out on an opportunity.
Every evening, around dusk, I go out into my yard looking for a nice sunset to photograph. Last night I went out and thought "There is no photo worth taking here." I was wrong.
I looked again and this time I saw what I had missed. Here is my shot;
No sunset? This is a LOLA BRANHAM sunset, not a TOMASO ALBINONI one. And look at that sky! How many shades of blue are there?
I made a sample strip by cropping (you remember cropping) the image so narrow that all details are gone, it's just the colors. You will have to zoom in but look from left to right, beautiful.
Zoom in again, two finger touch and spread your fingers while maintaining contact, iPad or iPhone.Look at the left 20% of the strip. Black fire engine red, scads of apricots, peaches, and coffees fading to rose and chocolates then plum and lavenders and finally into a million blues.
I will never have this printed or entered into some contest but I'm not trashing it. I saw, I didn't just look.
(I reach over and turn Jimi Hendrix off, unplug my Lava Lamp, slip on my psychedelic flip-flops and go back to reading daylily catalogs.)
