i did a search and nothing came up but my neighbor planted several last year and is having great success with them and google brings up a lot of info on the new generation of them https://www.finegardening.com/... does anyone here have any experience with them ? There are quite a few of them in our database, complete with photos. https://garden.org/plants/sear... I've been growing the original (pink) one for many years. It has grown quite large for a "groundcover" rose: about 4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide. |

That is interesting Zu - thank you with the name rose on the end of the search term (Flower Carpet Roses) you don't get to see them ![]() but simply search (Flower Carpet) and there they are ![]() Gardens are a thing of Beauty and a job forever |
That's because the search looks for the exact phrase you enter and there's no place that would say "Flower Carpet Roses." You would find them all if you used the singular form (Flower Carpet Rose), but there's no entry that would use the plural form "roses." https://garden.org/plants/sear... |

I have had Appleblossom Flower Carpet for about 8 years. Very good rose. It's very hardy and healthy and it has a very fast repeat bloom so it seems like it's always in bloom. Mine gets about 4 feet wide but usually stays under 2 ft. tall. Every once in a while it will throw up a lone cane that wants to go up instead of out but I just prune it back and it goes back to normal. No fragrance that I can detect. It's a good work horse for landscaping because it's so easy to care for. ![]() ![]() |

I personally never grew Flower Carpet but I see them downtown planted around businesses they appear to do well here... |
