Hello NGA Family! I am in zone 6b, Carson City, Nevada. We are at 4800 feet elevation and very arid. I have a spot on the east side of my house that I would like to start a Clematis. The area is about 1.5 feet wide and 4 feet long. I am going to remove most of the clay soil that is present to 2 feet down. I am also going to weld up a structure to bolt to my house for it to climb. What climbing Clematis would you recommend?

Thank you for your help. Jeff

Plant Cat's Claw (Macfadyena unguis-cati) and stand back! This vine will grow up and over a three story building in no time.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌

Thanks Mr. Luke! It doesn't look like the Cat's Claw is hardy in my Zone. Are all of the flowers Yellow? It is strikingly beautiful.
