Hey there people. I have an idea here and I have no idea whether anyone will participate. Join me and play if you are so inclined.

I am giving away 25 acorns to anyone who can answer any ONE of the questions below. All the answers are in the plant database. Here is the link to search for a plant:

https://garden.org/plants/sear...

The idea is to encourage and reward people for using the database to answer questions and solve problems. I have earned my acorns by adding to the database, so I'd like to share them in a way that is relevant. All the plants involved are succulents. I highly recommend you join me adding photos and comments for the plants in the database that you like in order to earn more acorns.

ONE question per person, please. Start your answer with the number of the question, so I know which one you chose.

Once a question has been answered, I will indicate that here with a star, so you know to move on to another (unanswered) one. If there is any controversy about the answer to any question, I get to decide what is correct. Smiling

And the questions are (drumroll)...

*=ANSWERED
All questions have been answered. Thank you everybody for playing! Smiling

10. What is the inspiration for the name Rat Aloe?

"Leaves are channeled and recurved on older plants, and they give off a smell reminiscent of rats or mice when broken (thus the name "rat aloe")."

Great idea for an acorn give away, Baja! Smiling

Ursula, I am going to clarify that question so it is more direct. The answer you gave does not explain the name "Super Kabuto", but it certainly does describe the plant in question.

3.) Name one features that distinguishes Blossfeldia from other cactus genera.

One distinguishing feature of the Blossfeldia is that "the stomata are restricted to the areolar pits."

(Answer was found here: Miniature Button Cactus (Blossfeldia liliputana))

Hopefully, I chose the right feature. Smiling
