Welcome to the site!

But he's posting here under member name so why wouldn't he be logged in on another forum?

Shrug! I'm not sure why he isn't able to start a thread on the Plant ID Forum.

LOL, I've been around here awhile but didn't realize that, I guess because I'm always logged in. Green Grin! I wonder if it's perhaps that pops565 just joined the site today? Are new members maybe not allowed to start new thread?

@pops565, if you can upload photos of your plant to this page, we'll try to help identify it for you! To upload a photo follow these directions:

1. Click the green area at the bottom of the post where it says Upload an image
2. Select the photo from your computer and open it; you will get a message saying "uploading" which will take a couple of seconds and then you will see a small thumbnail image of your picture.
3. Scroll to the bottom and click on the green area that says Finished

Thank you plantladylin.

Help to identify. These are growing on my property in a large amount. The flowers look like Mexican Petunias, however, there are multiple flowers to the stalk and the leaves are not sword shaped.

Hi pops565, sorry it's taken me so long to respond but we went to an early dinner with friends and I'm just now getting back online.

I'm not certain what those beautiful blue flowers are. The blooms remind me of Vinca:

Greater Periwinkle (Vinca major)
Periwinkle (Vinca minor)

I'll see if some of our Texas members can come and take and possibly offer and ID. Stay tuned! Green Grin!

Perhaps Ruellia nudiflora commonly called Wild Petunia. I believe it's related to Mexican Petunias which are also a Ruella.

I agree with Donald. It looks like what we commonly call Ruellia or Wild Petunia.

Here's a link to our database entry for it. Check out some of the pictures and see if you agree.
